With guidance from Project Managers, the Professional Services Technician is responsible for executing scoped work for MVP partners. In addition to strong technical aptitude, they are good communicators who can manage faster paced and more demanding work than in-house positions.

As a Professional Services Technician, you hold a key role in the growth and success of our organization. You have a few primary responsibilities:

  1. Providing world-class delivery of scoped IT support solutions
  2. Creating and maintaining documentation for new (or freshly deployed) solutions and hardware
  3. Meticulously tracking time and notes in ConnectWise Manage PSA
  4. Providing timely communication to project managers and partners while deploying solutions

You will be accountable for:

  • Delivering solutions as scoped and scheduled
  • Tracking all work in ConnectWise as it is completed and submitting accurate timesheets on a weekly basis
  • Ensuring through regular communication with the Professional Services, Sales, and Partner Success teams that partners are receiving the excellent level of service MVP expects
  • Identifying issues in the field and raising concerns to Project Management
  • Thoroughly documenting new partner environments and any new-to-them solutions that you deploy, repair, or otherwise encounter
  • Communicating with the partner in real-time while deploying solutions and assisting with setting appropriate expectations
  • Embodying the MVP standard of Taking IT to 11!

Credentials and Experience:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience with IT support
  • Experience with:
    • Windows desktop and server operating systems
    • Virtualization (VMWare, Citrix, Azure, AWS)
    • Server hardware technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI) support
    • Configuring and supporting switches and firewalls
    • Data backup and disaster recovery support (Datto preferred)
    • Non-Cisco firewall technologies (Sonicwall preferred)
    • Corporate antivirus support
    • PSA and RMM tools
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting DNS services
  • Thorough understanding of relationship between connecting nodes of a network
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies

This is a full-time, permanent,  hourly position.
